Emulex boasts 10G Ethernet copper as option to optical cable

Emulex introduced Ethernet adapter cards last week that it says offer a much less expensive way to run 10-gigabit Ethernet links over twisted-pair copper wire than optical cables. The company noted that the 10G market has grown to more than $400 million on an annual basis.
