Obama's budget would fund tougher supervision of financial advisers

U.S. President Barack Obama's budget proposal for fiscal 2013 calls for intensified scrutiny of financial advisers. Part of a $245 million increase for the Securities and Exchange Commission would fund an expansion of the Office of Compliance Inspections and Examinations.
