Meeting in N.C. aims to reach consensus on spending bond proceeds

Interested parties in North Carolina are working to figure out how to spend $6 million that was recovered from a bond posted by a subdivision developer. The costs of fixing the subdivision's problems, however, might exceed the value of the bond. If the parties are unable to come to an agreement, local officials could ask a judge to decide how to allocate the funds.
