N.D. energy firms hold discussions about safety procedures

North Dakota oil and natural gas companies were expected to hold discussions about safety procedures on Wednesday. According to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, about 50% of fatalities investigated in the state were from the industry. "We want to show North Dakota and the public that we’re serious about safety," said Dustin Austin, chairman of the MonDaks Safety Network, a local chapter of the National Service, Transmission, Exploration and Production Safety Network.
