Facebook leads in display ad impressions for 2011 with 1.3 trillion

Ad targeting seems to be the key as the biggest carrier of online display ads, Facebook, accounted for more than 1.3 trillion impressions last year, or 27.9% of the global total, per comScore. Meanwhile, Yahoo! and AOL, content-related providers that also target ads, accounted for 529 billion and 131 billion impressions.
