Obama budget proposal draws flak from Texas Republicans

Texas Republican lawmakers criticized President Barack Obama's fiscal 2013 budget plan, which would repeal billions in tax incentives enjoyed by oil and natural gas companies. "The president's budget is a broken record that ... spends too much, taxes too much and borrows too much," said Rep. Joe Barton, R-Texas. Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, said the plan "fails to right the ship and will continue to lead us down a path of more debt, higher taxes and runaway spending."
