In-office pinch blepharoplasty makes eyes look younger

Dermatologic surgeons can perform a pinch blepharoplasty, alone or along with laser resurfacing, for patients with thin, wrinkled, sun-damaged lower eyelid skin, says dermatologic surgeon N. Fred Eaglstein. "This is a very simple technique, especially for derm surgeons used to doing large skin flaps and grafts," he said. Patients with serious underlying medical conditions are not good candidates, and all patients should first have a baseline ophthalmology examination, Eaglstein said.
