Md. governor seeks greater investment in school breakfasts

Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley is seeking to expand the state's free school-breakfast program to an additional 56,896 students in the next school year. In his proposed budget, O'Malley has included an additional $1.8 million for the Maryland Meals for Achievement, which provides free meals for all students -- regardless of family income -- at eligible schools.
