Radio reigns as dominant medium across the globe

Despite the fuss over consumer migration to digital devices, radio remains dominant among adult listeners in the U.S., with audiences eight times larger than those for satellite radio and 17 times larger than for Internet audio streaming. Elsewhere in the world, radio is nearly universal and is often the most reliable medium for reaching listeners across the broadest landscape, Matt Petronzio writes in recognizing UNESCO's second annual World Radio Day.
