Mayo Clinic joins class-action suit against CSL and other groups

Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic has joined the class-action lawsuit against Australian blood plasma firm CSL, saying the company is part of an international group of companies that fixes the prices of plasma. The clinic is the 19th plaintiff in the civil-action suit against CSL, Baxter International and the Plasma Protein Therapeutics Association. CSL has repeatedly said the claims are unsubstantiated and that it will defend itself against the lawsuit.
