Dietitians have answers on common online search term "hemorrhoids"

"Hemorrhoids" was the most commonly searched health term on Google last year, and registered dietitians say the condition often is caused by constipation that comes from a lack of dietary fiber. RD Elizabeth Ward says a dietary solution to constipation is eating plenty of fruits and vegetables, which are high in fiber, and sports nutritionist Heather Mangieri adds that drinking water and exercise also are important.
