Marriott revives plans for $842M Colo. Gaylord hotel project

Marriott International has entered into talks to develop an $824 million conference hotel with 1,500 rooms in Aurora, Colo., city officials said. Marriott is seeking a development partner for the project, which was abandoned by its original developer. However, funding for new hotels is scarce and this "would be an adventuresome, high-risk project, and not for the faint of heart," said Kenneth Free, president of Straightline Hospitality Corp.
