Nuclear is more consistent than wind, gas, says Westinghouse CEO

The U.S. needs an energy source with reliability that only nuclear energy can provide, said Westinghouse Electric President and CEO Daniel Roderick. Natural gas prices are not likely to remain low, as any commodity is subject to volatility, but nuclear stays constant, he said. While there may be a push for wind energy in the U.S., the wind doesn't blow all the time, so a more stable energy source is needed to meet demand, he said.
