OSHA to inspect crane collapse at N.Y. hotel construction site

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration plans to investigate a hotel construction site in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., after a crane boom -- more than 100 feet long -- toppled from the top of the machine. The collapse could have been caused by a mechanical malfunction, said Brian Akley, vice president of business development with MLB Construction Services. No one was injured, but the OSHA's Albany office will investigate for violations.
