Women now make up nearly half of post-55 workforce

Women over 55 constituted only 20% of U.S. workers in that age bracket at the end of World War II, but now represent 47%. Like men, women seem to be wising up to the fact that working later in life can be the key to achieving a comfortable retirement, writes AARP's Sara Rix.
