Plans in the works for New York City seaport sky cube

Architect Santiago Calatrava has received a green light from the New York City Department of Buildings for the construction of a tower of glass-and-stainless-steel sky cubes. The building will consist of townhomes and commercial units built on a concrete core with each cube having its own internal elevator.
