Stores answer consumers' call for eco-friendly apparel

In answer to shoppers' demand for "green" products, retailers including Nordstrom and REI are stocking a growing number of sustainable pieces including scarves sewn from recycled sweaters and organic cotton shirts. "Our ecoSensitive product sales were up more than 30% in 2009," said Kelly Kraus, REI's director of sales and marketing.
