National program seeks to pair chefs with schools

More than 3,400 chefs have volunteered for the Chefs Move to Schools program, which is intended to help chefs connect with schools. Through the new program, which is part of the Department of Agriculture's HealthierUS Schools, chefs visit a website, create a profile and search for school projects in which they would like to participate. Some projects include designing a school lunch menu, teaching culinary skills to staff and teaching students.
