Nev. would lose 7,500 jobs if casino tax hike approved, analyst says

A plan to raise gambling taxes to 9% for casinos that make more than $250,000 a month from gaming would be devastating for Nevada's already-hurting job market, an analyst warns. "We estimate the gaming tax increase would result in 7,500 or more lost jobs in Nevada, a notable step backward," said Bill Lerner of Union Gaming Group.
