Thousands outside Big Apple marry under N.Y.’s new law

More than 2,300 same-sex couples have married in the state of New York in places other then New York City since a marriage equality law was enacted last summer, according to this article. Same-sex weddings make up about 7% of all the non-NYC unions that have occurred since the law went into effect.
