Icahn ends fight to control Time Warner board

Dissident shareholder Carl Icahn appears to have ended his attempt to force the breakup of Time Warner by taking control of its board. Icahn's apparent retreat -- he will run five candidates instead of 14 -- comes after a public campaign in which Icahn accused Time Warner CEO Richard Parsons of mismanaging the company.
