Advocate: Changing Texas laws would send businesses out of state

Wind power advocates in Texas are preparing to defend policies that have helped the state become a center for wind-power development. Among the policies under threat are the state's renewable portfolio standard and a wind farm property tax incentive program that is slated to expire next year. Jeffrey Clark, executive director of the Wind Coalition, said that companies will be taking their businesses to Oklahoma, Kansas and Nebraska if the tax incentive is repealed.
