Lawmakers ask FDA for timeline on reclassifying hydrocodone

Seven U.S. lawmakers asked the FDA to create a time frame for reclassifying hydrocodone drugs from Schedule III to Schedule II. The change would mean patients would need a physician's written prescription to be able to purchase the medications.
