N.D. sets oil, natural gas production records in 2012

North Dakota set records for oil and natural gas production in 2012, according to state data. The state's oil drillers produced 243 million barrels of crude for the year, which is up by more than 90 million barrels compared with figures in 2011. Gas output totaled 258 billion cubic feet, compared with 155 billion cubic feet in 2011, records show.
