N.H. STEM programs target middle-school education

The University of New Hampshire offers programs for teachers and students to enhance science, technology, engineering and math education across the state. For example, KEEPERS for Teachers provides STEM-related professional development for K-8 teachers. Various summer tech camps also are available in partnership with UNH, including the girls-only "Engineeristas," in which professional engineers help girls learn about a range of fields, such as oceanography and mechanical and materials engineering.
