RFA, others criticize anti-E15 Senate bill

The Renewable Fuels Association and other groups are criticizing a bill by Sens. Roger Wicker, R-Miss., and David Vitter, R-La., that would undo the Environmental Protection Agency's approval of E15 for model year 2001 and newer vehicles. The oil industry and its allies are "fighting to preserve their monopoly, their unfair and outrageously expensive tax credits, and most of all, their record breaking profits," said RFA President and CEO Bob Dinneen. The RFA is willing to sit down with the two senators "to explain the benefits of E15 and dispel myths and any lingering doubts," he added.
