Prevention is the best medicine for "problem" employees

One of the best ways to handle "problem" employees is to prevent problems before they arise by being sure expectations are clearly communicated instead of just assuming employees know the rules, according to Marie Burke Kenny, an employment lawyer. Managers also should provide constant feedback so performance evaluations are not full of complaints that will shock employees, she advises.
