N.J. panel approves bill requiring installation of alt-fuel stations

The New Jersey Assembly's transportation committee approved a bill last week that would require the state to install refueling stations for vehicles that run on propane autogas, compressed natural gas and electricity. "Such stations are to be geographically distributed in the northern, central and southern portions of this state in such a way as to provide maximum refueling and recharging services," according to the bill.
