Health IT sector must direct stimulus funding to informatics, expert says

The stimulus funding allocated to the health IT sector should be used for programs that focus on clinical informatics, said John Tempesco, vice president of Informatics Corp. of America. The field could generate jobs for clinical-application specialists and medical technicians to help train physicians and hospital staff about how health IT solutions could be used to improve daily processes, he said.
