HUD Secretary: Foreclosure program depends on lenders

Banks and lenders will need to "step up to the plate" to ensure the success of the Obama administration's foreclosure-prevention program, according to Housing Secretary Shaun Donovan. "This started as a mortgage crisis but it's become a jobs crisis," he said. The $75 billion program is coupled with an additional $200 billion for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
