Cisco goes on the offensive against Microsoft

Cisco Systems is seeking to differentiate itself from rival Microsoft -- and hopefully woo some new customers in the process -- with a new marketing campaign to promote its unified communications platform. The campaign, which was introduced this week with the release of results from a survey the company conducted, highlights what Cisco sees as the limitations of Microsoft's Lync platform for addressing enterprise needs in a post-PC environment.
