William Demchak, who will become CEO of PNC Financial Services Group in April, says his No. 1 goal is boosting revenue in the Southern states where the bank has expanded recently. "We made a pretty sizable bet on the Southeast, and we need to make sure we grow our presence there," he said. Demchak, known for being both frank and analytical, has worked closely with outgoing CEO James Rohr over the past 10 years and helped guide the bank through the financial crisis.
