Dominion seeks to use warmer water at Conn. nuclear plant

Dominion Resources' Millstone nuclear plant in Connecticut will request Nuclear Regulatory Commission approval to use water at 80 degrees Fahrenheit for cooling, five degrees above the current limit. Last year, one of the plant's two units was forced to shut down because Long Island Sound water temperatures rose above the limit. The NRC has requested a review of the potential effects of climate change on the country's nuclear plants.
