House T&I hearing touts importance of transportation infrastructure

Freight rail as a key component of U.S. transportation infrastructure and its essential role in the country's economy was the focus of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee's first hearing under the chairmanship of Rep. Bill Shuster, R-Pa. "Working together in the 113th Congress, the Committee will focus on strengthening America's national transportation network to make us more efficient, more competitive and more prosperous," Shuster said.
