The Obama administration has mastered the targeted use of traditional TV and print outlets, as well as digital and social media, to further its agenda, often frustrating the White House press corps by carefully controlling access to President Barack Obama, Jim Vandehei and Mike Allen write. "This administration loves to boast about how transparent they are, but they're transparent about things they want to be transparent about," said longtime CBS News correspondent Mark Knoller. "He gives interviews not for our benefit, but to achieve his objective."
