MTV and BET capitalize on Burger King Twitter hack

Cable channels MTV and BET took advantage of the buzz surrounding the hacked Twitter accounts of Burger King and Jeep by appearing to hack each other's accounts Tuesday as part of a coordinated publicity stunt. The BET Twitter account name was changed to "BET hacked!!!" and posted messages such as "We're bringing Jersey Shore back!!!" in reference to the canceled MTV show. Several news organizations originally reported that the accounts had also been hacked, but MTV announced the fake hacking an hour later.
