The Carnival Triumph fire and stranding of passengers at sea for several days has had no noticeable effect on cruise-booking volumes, several agents say. "We're still seeing record-breaking numbers. All last week we experienced double-digit growth. There hasn't been a blip in our sales at all," said Vicky Garcia of Cruise Planners/American Express Travel.
