Samsung and Hynix were top DRAM sellers in Q4, firm says

Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix remained the top purveyors of DRAMs in the fourth quarter, together accounting for two-thirds of the revenue market share in that period, DRAMeXchange reports. The market research firm estimates that Samsung sold $2.89 billion in DRAMs during the quarter, accounting for 42% of the global market, while Hynix held a one-quarter share. Elpida Memory and Micron Technology, which plan to merge this year, were close behind Hynix with a combined share of 24.6%, DRAMeXchange says.
