Toxicologist calls for better definition of "low doses" of BPA

A meta-analysis of exposure to the chemical bisphenol-A by toxicologist Justin Teeguarden revealed that studies that reference "low doses" of BPA can refer to a variety of concentrations, and only up to 7% of concentrations are in the range of human contact. "For BPA and all chemicals, we need more accurate language to represent these findings so the public and scientists in other disciplines can understand how human exposures compare to exposures in laboratory studies reporting toxicity," Teeguarden said.
