Propane lawn mower wins environmental award

The Central Indiana Clean Cities Alliance has presented the 2008 CICCA Stakeholder Achievement Award to Dixie Chopper for its propane-powered lawn mower, the LP3000. Because propane burns cleaner than petroleum-based fuel, the LP3000 is better for the environment. It is also cheaper to operate because demand for propane as a heating fuel drops dramatically during the peak summer mowing period.
