Company adopts total productive management to improve reliability

Laminations, a Wisconsin-based manufacturer of protective packaging, uses Total Productive Maintenance to maximize equipment reliability, writes Jill Jusko. "One of the things we needed in this facility to make things stick was some structure ... TPM gives you that structure," said Laminations' Gary Weber. One of the benefits is that "we have put in predictive and preventive measures, so we are not waiting for [equipment] to break down before we fix it," says Weber.
