Microsoft has held talks with recording industry companies about starting a music service that would provide songs to Windows-based cellphones, possibly in partnership with Nokia and HTC, according to a CNET report. The discussions, said to be in the early stages, also involve possible delivery of tunes to the Xbox, CNET reported.
