Norfolk Southern's $2.5 billion Crescent Corridor program will offer an "efficient" and "high-capacity" intermodal rail network between New Jersey and Louisiana, according to this article. One of the project's components is the Memphis Regional Intermodal Facility in Rossville, Tenn., which used a high-density polyethylene pipe system to manage stormwater runoff. The Transportation Technology Center Inc. tested the pipe system's viability for the facility, which received the Plastics Pipe Institute's Project of the Year award in 2012.
