Analysis: Offshore outsourcing firms get most H-1B visas

The firms that use the most H-1B visas are offshore outsourcers or U.S.-based companies that mostly employ workers located overseas, according to an analysis of data from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. The largest user of H-1B visas last year was Cognizant, an offshore provider based in New Jersey. "This is just affirmation that H-1B has become the outsourcing visa," said Ron Hira of the Rochester Institute of Technology.
