Food show features latest in school meals

School nutrition professionals from 32 school districts in Maine recently attended an annual food show in which vendors showcased items available for school menus. District staff noted the items met new school-meal regulations, including those for whole grains. Overall, some nutrition professionals said they were pleased to see that vendors had appealing breakfast items and they featured allergy-friendly foods.
