Marissa Mayer bans low-quality ads from Yahoo's homepage

Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer has relaunched the portal's homepage, bringing a stripped-down aesthetic to the heavily trafficked page. The refresh, which draws inspiration from Google, Facebook and Twitter, is part of a plan to attract premium advertisers and to banish cluttered, low-quality ads from the site.
