"Portionality" is one of the themes put forward by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics in a position paper, and registered dietitian Carolyn O'Neil writes that it translates into eating a variety of foods in moderate portions and trying to make healthy choices. RD Sharon Palmer says people are changing how they categorize foods, such as nuts, as they see the health benefits rather than just thinking of them as being fattening.
