Report: Delayed viewing gives major boost to some series

The CW's "The Vampire Diaries" tallied more than 50% of its viewership in the 28 days following an episode's debut from video-on-demand and DVR, according to Rentrak's first Total Audience Viewing Report, which measures live and delayed viewing. ABC's "Grey's Anatomy," Fox's "New Girl" and NBC's "Revolution" were among the top-50 shows that garnered more than one-third of their 28-day audiences from DVR and VOD views.
