Xamarin allows for Visual Studio development of iOS, Android apps

Version 2.0 of Xamarin's development tool allows programmers to create software in Visual Studio using C# or Visual Basic that can be translated into native Android or iOS applications. The company is also opening what it calls an "app store for code" for third-party libraries, user-interface designs and other modules.
