Nasdaq plans to offer its first convertible bond

The Nasdaq Stock Market plans to use the proceeds of its $425 million in five-year convertible bonds to fund a variety of exchange deals. Nasdaq is in the middle of acquiring OMX, it has proposed takeovers of exchanges in Philadelphia and Boston and is planning investments in a Dubai exchange.
